I tend to have so many hobbies in life, it because it makes
me to move out of my comfort zone and try new things which intern gives me a
different perspective. The habit of getting in to or acquiring new hobbies came
after my friendship with prem... He was one my roommates during my bachelor
life and he do different stuffs like reading, writing blogs, photography and
trying new stuffs... Thanks Prem…
Being a software engineer, staring at the laptop the whole
day makes me sick and I avoid using laptop after coming home and in weekends…And
my wife always tells me that she love the way i write the blog and the
photographs which speaks more than words…. She is my big supporter in my life…
Nandri Pondaati. Let’s move to my different hobbies.
Photography – Photography changed the way I see things around
me … All things looked beautiful and colorful to me... The first photograph was
by clicking a snap of dead cockroach. Prem trained me and taught me the concept
of Photography, we gone to workshop like LetClickin, Help portrait where they
taught the various techniques to shoot a photo... Later I purchased Nikon D5000
my travelling companion and became more over like a professional photographer
and also I started participating in Photography competition which provided me
confidence and creativity thinking.
Blog Writing – I started writing to enhance my writing communication
skills.. My first blog was related to my working project in Manhattan
associates. I got appreciation from my peers who read it and asked me to write
more. From then, i wrote blogs on travelogue, poems, Posts related to social work,
things happening around me and so on… Whenever I feel to write, I just open
laptop and start writing... Most of the time I write after returning from
office or during early morning... It releases stress and mainly you should empty
your mind from unwanted things before writing.
Book reading – As before, I started to read to increase my
communication skills... To make me first comfortable, I started reading blogs
on the net and later moved to book reading... Prem used to read so many books,
first I thought its tough and after started reading it changed me a lot...Day
by Day, I changed so many habits and increased my confidence after reading philosophical
books...
Long Bike ride / Trekking – “Four wheel moves the body, two
wheels moves the soul”. Riding long distance in bike is awesome... Joined communities
in Facebook and almost every weekend, I go to bike ride with friends and
explore the different places. Its gave opportunity to meet different people and
love to nature increased.
Cooking – I cook dosa well, whenever my roommates planned to
cook something I will be asked to cook dosa. My parents taught me cooking so
that I will be independent and don’t want me to depend upon someone to offer me
food... I moved in to my hobby list last year, when my wife went to her
hometown for pregnancy most of the time I eat food outside which made to feel
sick often and decrease my immune system after eating junk foods.. I started to
cook after getting few tips from my wife, she cooks awesome food and I really miss
her food still... I surfed the internet and tried new menus, last week I challenged
her that in an year I will cook better than her. Let’s see..
Gardening – This hobby was with me from my childhood. We have
farm in my village and whenever I go there I learn get tips from the guy who
take care of farm... During weekends or early morning I dedicate 15 minutes to
30 minutes on gardening... In Bangalore, I have few plants in Balcony and its
getting hard to maintain due to plant diseases and bad pollution... But I am learning
on maintenance and organic farming, it gives me experience and after few
decades when I move to my village I will be in good state to maintain the farm.
I have few more in my list like Learning musical instruments ,
Painting , Expertise in Handicrafts and some more..
